A weekend feels like a canteen of water to parched lips these days. Every week day I ride my trustworthy camel braving the hot winds of the desert days, stopping to rest under some date palm trees with no fruits but which still unflinchingly shelters many friends. The day ends with me building a shelter in my mind to protect me against the cold winter nights. My search for the eternal spring of water continues..Until then I pick myself up and carry on.

Know Thy Self
The holy men, prophets and yogis point to knowing thy self above all else. Self realization I believe they call it. Hours and Hours in deep meditation trying to understand who they were and why they were. I can imagine the ecstasy they must have felt when each revelation was revealed, like layers being pealed away before they finally understood their core self, which must surely have been an understanding of the universe itself. Nirvana!

The breath of the sunset
Watching the sun go down in a flaming orange sky makes one realise how beautiful these moments truly are. Sitting alone gazing upon this wondrous sight magnifies your joy a hundred fold as it does your pain a thousand. The gentle cool caress of the wind as it reaches for your face and hair rekindles forgotten memories of the past . And suddenly you realise that the world and all its creatures are standing still until all you can feel moving is your heart as it beats.
